Optus iPhone 3GS plans have been announced!

As a person who has been sitting on his Hiptop for years, I’m kinda happy with the new Optus 3GS plans on offer however I’m not yet ready to ditch my good ‘ol Hippie just yet.

The $99 “Yes” Timeless plan is pretty nice with unlimited calls, texts and MMS especially with the bundled 1.5GB worth of data. Not too sure if that’s enough for me based on my internet use however I could cut down… slightly. The plan though is over 24 months (yuck) and includes tethering (why the hell is that an issue – tethering should be free regardless! Data is data).

Now we just have to wait for Telstra, Vodaphone, Virgin and 3 to announce their plans. I wouldn’t be too surprised if they’re similar as to what Optus has on offer.
